Our Glorious Liberation War
Our brave Muktijoddhas fought valiantly alongside the people of Bangladesh to defeat the Pakistani Army and achieve the new sovereign country of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh from the occupying forces. We got our victory on December 16 1971. Genocide was committed on the people of Bangladesh by the Pakistan Army. Millions of people were martyred, assaulted, raped and forced to become refugees in India.
We will never forget their sacrifice. We will forever salute, cherish and celebrate their heroism.
